Fireside Bistro

Centrally located on the second floor of Building 8, Highline Student Union (HSU), The Fireside Bistro is your destination for specialty beverages, espresso and grab-and-go snacks.

  • Freshly brewed espresso drinks from Caffe D’arte, Italian sodas, teas, and lemonades are handcrafted by Highline College’s student-staff baristas.
  • Alki Bakery offers grab-and-go meal options including salads, sandwiches, wraps, snack trays, assorted pastries, freshly baked weekly special pizza, and hot soup.

Students at Bistro

Ground to Tree Coffee

Conveniently located on the ground floor of Building 29, Central Washington University (CWU) Des Moines Campus, Ground to Tree offers coffee and espresso drinks, soft pretzels, pastries, and assorted snacks.

  • The cafe is entirely student-operated with a majority of our baristas pursuing degrees or certificates in the HOST program.
  • Ground to Tree’s coffee comes from a local organization called Grounds For Change, a family-owned and operated coffee roasting business.

Food Trucks

Food trucks often visit Highline College and usually park on the Northwest side of Building 8. The schedule for Food Trucks on Campus is posted on WA Food Trucks.

Community Pantry

The Community Pantry serves anyone with a College ID number! We serve fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, meats, sandwiches, salads, wraps, non-perishables, pasta, and canned goods (pantry items vary daily). You can find the Community Pantry on the northeast edge of campus on the north side of Building 16.
