Basic Food Employment & Training (BFET)

Earn a certificate or non-transfer degree

If you receive benefits through the state’s Department of Social & Health Services’ Basic Food program, then you may qualify for financial help through BFET. Qualified students may receive short-term assistance for tuition, books, fees, bus passes and child care.

Funds up to 45 Credits

The Opportunity Grant provides financial assistance for low-income students who are enrolled in the Business, Education, Healthcare, or Human Services programs.

WorkFirst Services

Funds Tuition & Books

The WorkFirst program supports recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) cash assistance from Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), who need educational training in order to enter the workforce.

Worker Retraining

Financial Assistance and Support Services

The Worker Retraining Grant provides funding for required tuition cost, school fees, and books for eligible dislocated and unemployed workers in training or retraining that will assist them in gaining employment.
