The Academic Advisement Reports (AAR) are for planning only.

Academic Advising Report (AAR) makes it easy for you as students and your advisors to see whether you are on track to complete your degree, program, and requirements. The AAR shows how your classes apply to your academic program plan, and you can run a What-If report to see how they apply to a different program plan. If your program plan is wrong, use the online form to request a change.

The Registration/Records office conducts the final graduation evaluation and official evaluations are communicated through the “Notes” tab in the degree audit. There is an AAR in ctcLink for every degree and certificate currently offered.

Remember to consult with an academic advisor and the college catalog when planning your courses.  Learn more about the Academic Advisement Report and how to view it within ctcLink.

Note: Academic Advisement Reports (AAR) and What-If Reports have replaced Degree Audit has been replaced with in ctcLink.

What is a What-If Report?

  • What-if Reports are available for all Degrees and Certificates for which an AAR has been entered.
  • What-if Reports will use the appropriate AAR Effective Dated row for the “Catalog Year” selected.
  • The student does not need to have a valid program/plan to run a What-if Report.
  • What-if Reports can be run for any degree or certificate, and ctcLink will use the student’s courses (including registered, not completed) to show which requirements are fulfilled by which of those courses.
    • The student can also add possible courses to the “What-if Course List” to see how courses for which they are not currently registered would apply to the specified degree or certificate.

Important Notes

  • In addition to completing specific degree requirements, associate degrees require a minimum of 90 credits to graduate, 23 of which must be taken at Highline College.
  • Degrees are granted to students who have a 2.0 or better college-level cumulative GPA at Highline.
  • Highline College recommends you apply for graduation immediately once you have registered for your final quarter of classes.
