What is a degree/enrollment verification? A verification is a request for a employer, college or university to verify a student's degree and enrollment information. Unlike a transcript, a verification is simply a confirmation of certificates or degrees earned and does not include course grades. 

Why Would I Need an Enrollment Verification?

Students may need certification of enrollment to defer student loans, to provide proof of enrollment for their health insurance, to verify certificates/degrees for prospective employers or to show proof of academic standing to enroll in another institution.

Highline College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verifications for employers and background checks. The National Student Clearinghouse can be contacted at:

Enrollment Verification for Loan Deferment

Highline College uses a service called the National Student Loan Clearinghouse. Student enrollment information is sent to National Student Loan Clearinghouse each quarter. National Student Loan Clearinghouse then sends this information to the loan organizations quarterly.

In-person Requests

Bring the form from the employer, housing office or other entity to the Registration front counter on the lower level of Building 6 during open hours. If you have other enrollment-related verification needs, please email us: registration@highline.edu.

Email Requests

Please scan and email the form to us at registration@highline.edu. Be sure to include your ctcLink Number. It takes up to 10 business days for a paper verification to be completed. When the verification is complete, you will be notified to come pick it up at the registration front counter. If you have other enrollment-related verification needs, please email us: registration@highline.edu.

Students

  1.  If the proof of enrollment requires a school official’s signature, you can request a verification letter by filling out our request form.
  2.  If the proof of enrollment does not require a school official’s signature, you can print a copy of your class schedule using the ctcLink Student Homepage. Students can verify their degree/certificate by using official or unofficial transcripts. If your transcript and the degree or certificate you are expecting do not appear, please email us: graduation@highline.edu.
